Our Vision is to provide a world-class community experience that bridges the gap between middle and high school, ideally for fifth through tenth graders.
WHAT IS THE KINGS IN TRAINING PROGRAM ?
At King Society, we believe there is a difference between raising a boy to be a man and raising a young man to be a king. Our ideal candidate for the program, known as Kings In Training (KIT) is at a critical stage of his life, a make-or-break moment. It is this age range that is lost. Like a plant that has outgrown its nursery pot, ideal candidates are too old for elementary concepts and too young for post-graduation choices. King Society serves as "the gardener" who carefully handles the plant during its transition to the new pot; we acknowledge candidates are most vulnerable during this time and we accept the challenge to provide support and guidance.
King Society principles, or RRIIBB (pronounced rib), are about balance. King Society works to increase the emotional and physical stature of KIT; we operate from the perspective that a king is optimal when he is sound in his thoughts and his physical abilities. Visually, the duplicative letters are intentional, they function as shadows. Though the graphic is not yet developed, the goal is to visually represent that each letter is shadowed. Similarly, King Society leadership will walk alongside KIT. At times, leadership may show the way with KIT shadowing for mentoring or a lesson. Other times, KIT may need leadership to come alongside for support in challenging situations. In both instances, shadows are not a source of fear. Rather, the shadows provide shade, protection, and safety. Like the angle of light can change the size of shadows,King Society leadership will serve as an example to ensure KIT learns the balance of confidence and humility. It does not go without notice that RRIIBB has a religious reference. King Society takes the responsibility to instill one of the most important lessons for young men, how to treat women, seriously. The rib reference highlights the relationship between man and woman. Formed from the side, we charge KIT to understand that women are equal helpmates who deserve to be respected from introduction.
